Is it the right knife?
The Haru chef knife. One knife for almost everything.
A 19cm 440C stainless steel blade, hardened to 60±2 HRC, on a comfortable, slip-resistant ebony-style handle. The all-rounder for chopping, slicing and dicing.
- 19cm blade for meat, fish and veg
- 440C steel, hardened to 60±2 HRC
- Ebony-style handle, comfortable and slip-resistant
Best for
Choose the chef knife if you want one knife for most jobs. It chops, slices and dices vegetables, fruit and meat without swapping knives.
Is it the right knife?
The Haru kiritsuke. Long, precise, unmistakable.
A 20cm 440C stainless steel blade, hardened to 60±2 HRC, on a comfortable, slip-resistant ebony-style handle. A long edge and an angled tip, made for precise slicing.
- 20cm blade with an angled tip
- 440C steel, hardened to 60±2 HRC
- Ebony-style handle, comfortable and slip-resistant
Best for
Choose the kiritsuke if you slice a lot: fish, meat, finely sliced veg and herbs. The long edge makes clean push cuts, and the angled tip handles detail work.
Is it the right knife?
The Haru utility knife. The in-between job knife.
A 12cm 440C stainless steel blade, hardened to 60±2 HRC, on a comfortable, slip-resistant ebony-style handle. Bigger than a paring knife, nimbler than a chef knife.
- 12cm blade for sandwiches, cheese and herbs
- 440C steel, hardened to 60±2 HRC
- Ebony-style handle, comfortable and slip-resistant
Best for
Choose the utility knife for the everyday jobs in between, like slicing sandwiches, cheese, shallots and herbs, when a chef knife feels like too much.
Is it the right knife?
The Haru paring knife. Small knife, fine work.
An 8.3cm 440C stainless steel blade, hardened to 60±2 HRC, on a comfortable, slip-resistant ebony-style handle. The small knife you reach for when a big one is too much.
- 8.3cm blade for peeling and fine detail
- 440C steel, hardened to 60±2 HRC
- Ebony-style handle, comfortable and slip-resistant
Best for
Choose the paring knife for peeling, trimming, hulling and garnishing, the detail jobs a bigger knife is too clumsy for. A natural partner to the chef knife.
